Installing the protector is not as simple as the instructions from XBase would suggest. It arrives attached to a plastic base from which I needed a sharp knife to separate it. The instructions then say, "Peel off the internal film from the camera protector." The film is very firmly glued down, so I needed the knife again. Removing it reveals a layer of gel-like adhesive, but removing the film made marks and lumps in it that remain visible after installation. At first I thought they were cracks in the protector, but the protector remained intact and pictures taken through it are quite clear.
